Workflow automation

Workflow automation agency for consumer brands.

2690 is a workflow automation agency for growing consumer brands. We connect the tools your team already uses, such as inboxes, chat, spreadsheets, project tools and Shopify, so work moves between teams, agencies and partners with a clear owner. AI drafts or flags; a named person approves each consequential step.

ScopeThe problems it fixes.

Work that crosses teams and tools. For store operations such as orders, stock and payouts, see ecommerce automation.

Tools that do not talk

The same status lives in a spreadsheet, a project tool and a chat thread, and someone updates all three by hand every week.

Decisions that do not travel

A date, offer or product detail changes and half the team keeps working from the old version. See carrying approved product changes through the business.

Approvals nobody can find

Someone approved it in chat, but nobody can say which version. See getting a clear decision on the final edit.

Work that waits

A task sits with the wrong person until someone notices. See finding work that has waited too long.

Partners out of the loop

Agencies, 3PLs and suppliers learn about changes late. See running a launch from one plan.

WalkthroughOne handoff, step by step.

What most workflow automation pages leave out: who owns each step, where a person approves, and what stays manual on purpose. An illustrative plan, not a client result.

1. The change

Product approves a new ingredient claim for a hero SKU. The decision is recorded once, with the approver and the version.

2. Who is affected

Automation lists the places that still show the old claim: product page copy, ad creative in production, the retailer spec sheet, support macros. AI drafts the list from the shared record; the product owner confirms it.

3. Each owner acts

Each affected owner gets the change in the tool they already use, with the approved source attached and a date to confirm.

4. A person approves

Nothing customer-facing changes until its owner approves the update. Automation does not publish copy or send retailer files.

5. Left manual on purpose

The legal review of the claim and the conversation with the retailer stay with people. Automation just makes sure they know and records that it happened.

Connects the tools you already have.

We choose the connection for the job. We do not sell a platform or tie you to one automation tool.

Where the team talks

Shared inboxes, chat and email, so requests and approvals arrive where people already look.

Where the work is tracked

Spreadsheets, project tools and shared documents, kept in step instead of updated three times.

Where the business runs

Shopify, your ERP, 3PL and supplier portals, read from where they have reliable interfaces.

How an engagement runs.

The same four steps as the 2690 Build.

1. Map the handoff

We follow one recent change from decision to the last person it affected, and mark where it stalled.

2. Agree the rules

We agree the owners, the approval points and the checks the connected workflow must pass.

3. Build and test

We connect the tools, test the exceptions on real examples, and review it with the people who use it.

4. Train and hand over

Your team owns and runs the result, with documentation and the agreed code.

The foundersWho does the work.

No testimonials or case studies here: 2690 does not have client results to show yet. You work directly with the two founders.

Is this a fit?

A quick check before you get in touch.

A good fit

A growing consumer brand where the same update is copied between tools every week, or where approvals and changes get lost between teams and partners.

Not a fit

You want a single-platform automation specialist, a marketing agency, or automations that act for people with no one approving.

FAQQuestions.

Short answers to what brands usually ask.

What does a workflow automation agency do?

It connects the tools a business already uses so work moves between people, teams and partners without being copied, chased or re-checked by hand. At 2690 we do this for growing consumer brands, and a named person approves each consequential step.

How is this different from ecommerce automation?

Ecommerce automation covers store operations: orders, stock, fulfillment and payouts. Workflow automation covers the handoffs around them: launches, approvals, product changes, agency and partner coordination, status and follow-ups.

Which tools do you connect?

The ones you already use: shared inboxes, chat, spreadsheets, project and document tools, Shopify, your ERP and partner portals. We pick the connection method for the job and do not tie you to one automation platform.

What stays manual?

Judgment. Approvals, legal and product claims, budget decisions and partner commitments stay with a named person. Automation carries the information to them and records the decision.

Who does the work?

Matt Lady maps the handoff, the owners and the approvals. Mike Lady builds, tests and hands it over. You work with both directly.

Bring one handoff that keeps breaking.

A recent launch change, approval or partner update is enough to start. No technical brief required.
